The Emerald Coast ("Côte d'Emeraude") was the name given by the local historian Eugène Herpin to the northern coast of Brittany (because of the colour of the shore). Starting at Cap Fréhel and extending as far as the Pointe du Groin, the Emerald Coast includes 66 municipalities from the Ille-et-Vilaine and Côtes-d'Armor departments, and is one of the most beautiful and most popular sites in Brittany. Seaside camping here is a real pleasure.
