Lake Chambon

Lake Chambon is in the Monts Dore, at the heart of the Massif Central in the Auvergne region. This is an ideal destination for camping holidays. This 60-hectare volcanic lake is perched at over 800 metres in altitude near Chambon-sur-Lac and Murol. There are two beaches on the lake, which is very popular with visitors during the summer season. On this lake, which is surrounded by a magnificent cirque of mountains, you can enjoy a range of activities, such as sailing, swimming and fishing.
