Campsites and beaches
Lake Geneva (called "lac Léman" in French), the biggest mountain lake in central Europe, lies between France and Switzerland. The lake is bordered by the towns of Evian and Thonon-les-Bains (on the French side), Lausanne and Geneva (on the Swiss side). The French part is in the Haute-Savoie department, and the lake is very popular with tourists, particularly for its thermal baths and the many beaches around the lake. There is also a large number of campsites where you can spend great holidays at the waterside.
