Beaches with Blue Flag label

You can spend your holidays near a beach flying the «Blue Flag» (Pavillon Bleu). This is an official label awarded each year for beaches where special attention is paid to the quality of the surrounding environment. This label was created in 1985 and is awarded annually to «municipalities and marinas carrying out a permanent policy of sustainable development in tourism». On these beaches, you will find bins to sort your rubbish, as well as sanitary facilities to keep the sea water clean for swimming.

The «Blue Flag » is also a guarantee of respect for local fauna and flora, and giving rise to a large number of campaigns raising awareness about environmental issues, especially during the summer months.
